How I became a professional intuitive

Before working as an intuitive I worked in retail, graphic and web design, music blogging and as a closed caption editor for the hard of hearing.

I wasn’t very “spiritual” at all. In fact, growing up I didn’t experience anything too out of the ordinary nor could I see ghosts. So I didn’t consciously choose to become a professional intuitive, it just sort of happened!

On my dad’s side I am of English descent and on my mum’s side I am of Indo-Fijian descent. With my mixed heritage I grew up in tropical Far North Queensland, Australia, in a non-religious household with Hindu influences.

The only thing that was unusual about me was that I wasn’t taught to ignore my dreams like most kids are.

I would dream of seeing friends I had lost touch with for months or even years and then the very next day I would bump into them. I also dreamt of my family running in a field being bitten by snakes. And less than a month later our family dog died. In hindsight, I know snakes can symbolise death, transformation and rebirth.

But when I was growing up, dying meant going to heaven and serving God.

Or that’s what I overheard during Religion when forced to sit at the back of the class and do homework. Instead I learnt of reincarnation from watching Bollywood films like Karan Arjun, Om Shanti Om, and Kal Ho Naa Ho. I liked the idea that we had lives before this one so I chose to believe. But it wasn’t until I was 27 when I had my first past life regression that I moved from ‘believing’ to an unshakeable ‘knowing’.

The side effect of that was my own intuitive abilities began to open up.

Since then I trained in and explored tarot, shamanic journeying, astrology, energy healing, hypnosis and Akashic Record Reading. And in my professional practice I chose to focus on approaches that offer us clarity about ourselves. Get to the core of an issue you have. And are relevant to our current lives. No vague fluff or magic candles here!

I found Akashic Record Reading helpful for answering “who am I“, “why is my life the way it is”, as well as revealing your gifts and purpose. And I found Past Life Regression helped remove blocks that prevent you from living the life you deserve.

I am always asking for the sake of myself and my clients, “Is this self-empowering and is this going to create real change in your everyday life?”.

While spiritual knowledge is interesting, I am passionate about proving you with insight that you can use rather than knowledge for knowledge’s sake. Whether that’s finding a new path to walk on based on what your natal chart is saying. Or using Past Life Regression to understand and remove blocks so that you can move ahead in life more easily. Or working with the Akashic Records so that you can know yourself deeply and live the highest expression of who you are. I choose to only work with spiritual approaches that bring deep clarity and change.

But coming from a non-religious background I still carry a healthy dose of scepticism before testing and adopting new spiritual practices. And this has led me to train with teachers who are more grounded and practical in their methods and teachings.

My hope is that I can be there for when you are feeling lost, unsure of yourself, stuck or just in need of a little help.
